Friday's Table

It finally got cold here!
Storm clouds threatened our drought-driven area yesterday morning. I thought we'd get a drenching rain but all it did was spit on us :/ We're getting desperate here for rain. The lake levels are the lowest I've ever seen and I've been around this lake all of my life.
Our temps dipped into the low 40's.....not as cold as anticipated but at least that 80 degree weather is gone. Honestly, our summers are so hot and come on so quickly that the LAST thing we need is 80 degrees in January!
My son shared this photo with me yesterday.
Well, let's just say I'm glad I'm here in Florida!
**************
My table is full of fun and fluff. I've completed my sewing on a few dolls, bunnies on sticks (spools, actually), meeces of all sizes, and a few other goodies.
I have so much fun sewing but I'm SO SLOW making these items. I DARE not 'make them to order'!
I've been purchasing some patterns from Samantha Flanders and The Olde Country Cupboard, Old Road Primitives, and Soft in the Head. (The ones from Pam haven't come yet).

These gals have been having pattern sales; buy one get one free! Click on the links as I think some are still going on. I bought the large wooden Bunny pattern from Crystal at Twiddlebugz and have a fun Easter Giveaway planned for him. Shipping has once again gone up and I'll have to limit my Giveaways a bit :/
Hope your January is progressing at a good pace and you're staying healthy. I hear the flu is out to get us all but I'm crossing my fingers that we'll avoid it.

Do You See What I See?

No, I'm not singing Christmas songs....yet! But I will be soon enough!
I stopped by my sweet Mother-in-Laws house yesterday on my way home from taking my daughter to the doctor. Yes, I'm one of the lucky ones that has an AWESOME MIL! Anyway, she'd recently been to visit her sisters in Tennessee and she brought me back some Fabrics!
That cream color is a type of heavy muslin. PERFECT for dolls and Prims alike!
All of these are 60" wide and a LOT of yardage!
I'm seeing a Snowman Jacket from these knits. And a HUGE ball of cording that will be a great addition to the bottom of a Santa coat! That blue knit will make some great pants for my snowman, too!
This orange is good for some pumpkins and I have yards of it!
Red velvet, some red organza, and peppermint striped knit!
Boy, am I SEEING Santas!!
A HUGE roll of Light red Velvet! Perfect for SnowBelle!
Who is SnowBelle? Well you haven't met her yet but she's going to be from a pattern I recently purchased from Old Road Primitives.
And yes, I bought a pattern for me 'cause I'm sick to death of trying to find something to wear other than a prairie skirt! I don't like the graphic prints they have in the stores:(  I'm also very tall so most of the dresses that come to a normal person's knees, comes clear up above mine. Plus, I'm looking for a basic royal blue dress to show off my pretty sapphires from my hubby! No, I'm not a Diamond girl! You KNOW I like color!!
Don't forget about my Giveaway on the 24th. Sign up HERE!

Helluvaweek!

SERIOUSLY, one of the worst weeks of my life!
It started last Tuesday, the 15th for me. Our 6 year old twin daughter had been coughing for a few days previous. She complained of a headache but never had any other symptoms with it so I gave her some Motrin and went on with life. I started feeling bad Tuesday evening. Still able to take care of everything but just really dragging with a headache. By Wednesday my head was hurting pretty good with body aches and I had a temp of 100 +. It went down from there :(  A friend came in on Friday to get my groceries for me and her family brought in a pot of chicken soup. By Saturday my temp was at 103.3 and Anna Belle (our twin daughter) was 102. By late Saturday afternoon, I was back down to 101. I went to Urgent Care on Monday. I was dehydrated so they hooked me up to IV fluids and gave me a shot of antibiotic through my IV. I have an Upper Respiratory Infection and a Kidney Infection. I'm getting better but WHOA, was I sick!! And still taking care of the 3 kids in the house. Don't know how.....you know you've done it, too. We are, after all, SuperMoms!!
****************
I wanted to share a few pieces that I got done for the "BUG SWAP" that Wendy at Ravenwood Whimzies had.
I sent a box of goodies out just yesterday as my sickness made me a few days late. I hope my Partner enjoys it.

*********************
I've been 'shopping' the internet for patterns. Pattern Mart has large variety from various artists and I was able to discover Mulberry Memories and her watermelon Patterns. I purchased a few of Old Annie Primitives Uncle Sam Hat Tucks and Uncle Sam Heads from her shop. I don't know if I'll get too many done this year but there's always next year! I bought Tawny's cute SUNFLOWERS pattern over at The Primitive Nook and hope to get a few of these done soon. In anticipation of the season's to come, I purchased 2 of Bittersweerfolkart's patterns. CANNOT wait to get into these two! I've already made a few Witches Boots and Crows. With the month of June approaching fast we'll be looking at the 'Holiday Season' before you know it and we 'crafters' have to stay on our toes!
Hoping you are all well and stay clear of this 'flu-like' disease.
I'll have one more give away for the month of June and then take a break through July,
SO,
as always,
STAY TUNED!
