Boo Boo Kitty GIVEAWAY!

I haven't had a Giveaway in a while so I thought I'd see if I can find a home for Boo Boo Kitty and his Pumpkin Patch!

This was made using a pattern from Old Road Primitives. Each piece has been cut from cotton muslin, stuffed, painted with acrylic paints and baked in the oven with my Vanilla/Cinnamon/Coffee Prim mix. This set comes with Boo Boo Kitty and 4 pumpkins: 1 large, 1 medium, and 2 smalls. Boo Boo's Hat is made from cotton fabric and has been primmed and baked. It is glued to his left ear and has a bow of raffia and 3 rusted jingle bells glued for extra embellishment. His whiskers are sisal; his eyes are small black buttons. His nose is painted on with acrylic paint. SO CUTE!
Measurements are approx. Kitty 9" x 5"; largest pumpkin, 7" x 6" with the medium and small a few inches in difference, one from the other.
Made in a Smoke Free/Pet Free environment.
If you would like to have him come to your home, then leave me a comment on this post.
If you share, I'll count you 2 times!!

A Giveaway Winner/Where Is Our Sunshine?!!

Seriously, we've been without sunshine for so long I think they're going to rename our state!
I try not to diss the rain when we get it. When you live on a lake and watch the water levels come and go, you learn to appreciate when Mother Nature is giving. But dadgummit all I WANT MY SUNSHINE!!
I've got a winner for my Valentine Giveaway! Random.com surprises me from time to time by choosing #1 and it did this time!
So, Vicki H. you are my winner!
Email me at VicWeave@aol.com so I can get your Garland out to you this next week!
Thank you EVERYONE for signing up and supporting this Giveaway. I will have more throughout the year/Seasons. I'm getting ready for one on my FB to celebrate 700 followers and I'll let you know when it's up and ready!
Our Etsy Team, Old Farmhouse Gathering (OFG) had a Team Swap: "Beat the Winter Blues" and I received mine from Bonnie of Occasional Gifts.  Here's a picture of what she sent me.

We were supposed to send a Snowman, fabric, something 'sweet' to eat and then something else that we chose to send. I LOVE these little Snowmen!
**********************
I've finished my Cardinals except for a little beaded eye.
I'm putting them away until it gets closer to the Holidays as they'll be designed with floral twigs and greenery, and white lights. The pattern can be found at Old Road Primitives.
I've just finished 6 chocolate Bunnies.
They need their bows but I'm sending some of these with some Easter grass, colored wooden eggs, and a carrot to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. I donate to their Bun Fest every year.
Last but not least, I purchased another cute pattern from Sweet Meadows.
I've cut out 6 and am now in the process of cutting and sewing them up. Hope to have some to show you next week. My 8 yo daughter wants one so she has to help me stuff them up. Love me some cheap labor!!
Best wishes to all in this cold weather. Looking forward to Summer so I can complain about the heat!
Stay Tuned!

I'm A Doing!!!

Putting up Christmas and packing my crafts away.....that's what I'm doing! I'll close my Etsy for vacation at the end of this week to give me some time to finish some personal crafts. I've been filling Teacher orders and just put 8 out today!
I've (sort of) hired a little helper.
She loves to 'grundge' up my dolls and I've even got her base coating my wood. Here she is coating a snowman with cinnamon!
Here is a picture of my FB Mystery Prize.
Not many signed up -- due to the onslaught of the holiday chaos, I'm sure -- but someone was a winner and it was Barb of Barb's Heartstrokes! I call them my 'Snowpal Pails'! You can find the little pails everywhere! Target even has some wrapped in Burlap with a Christmas tree stenciled on it. I just added a Prim Snowman with some pipberry arms. He's got a dowel stuck in an uncomfortable place and he's glued into some floral foam. I've added floral pieces and fiber fill all around the inside of the pail. Cute for quick gifts!
Here is a picture of my Elf dolls. I'll have these available in a show I'm doing next year.
My Sister-in-Law talked me out of one at Thanksgiving but she couldn't have if I didn't love her so much!
These guys were adapted from a pattern by The Olde Country Cupboard.
Last, but not least, I've been making these girls up for gifts.
They still have some details like whiskers and tails but they're almost ready to gift! LOVE making these as they are super simple. The pattern is from Old Road Primitives.
I'm almost done with the Christmas shopping. My house will be FULL with all 6 kids this year! Looking forward to all of our festivities. Hope you have lots planned, too!

Unfinished and NEW!

Isn't it Halloween yet? I have to laugh at myself as I keep producing things from my 'box' of UFO (unfinished objects!). I decided to complete a few items that had already been in there over a year. This is one of them!
This is Imogene! She's a wooden doll. She took a LOT of time but I finally finished her this morning! Click on her link if you want to see more of her.
I also finished up another one of these.
This is Boo Boo Kitty! The pattern is from Old Road Primitives. Kim's patterns are SO much fun to create as she does such a great job herself!
One last batch of Candy Corns!
 They smell SOOOOO good!
My daughter sent me this guy from Illinois. She came across a little Prim shop and fell in love with some of the goodies there! She knows how much I love to make it and collect it! She's starting to get the fever herself!
Creating Fall Scarecrows and some little meeces to go on my Candy Canes and Santa Hats! They, too, smell WONDERFUL!
These are from a Pattern Bin pattern from Samantha Flanders and the late Sandy Schmidt. I'm going to miss her when I go to McIntosh Festival in a few more weeks :(
It's yet to get cool down here but at least we've moved from the 90's to the mid 80's. Hoping we get to see some cooler temps around Halloween. Nothing worse than wearing your costume and sweating to death in it!
Thanks for stopping by!

A "Breather"!

I need a few days; a break; a breather as we call it down here. I've been working my tail end off completing orders and new designs since the first of August. I'm exhausted and sleep deprived.....and I just put the last 3 packages in the mail today. HALLELUJAH!!! Now, don't get me wrong. I like to sell my items which is the whole idea with the Etsy thing, ya know. I just like to keep my Hobby what it is. AND, I refuse to call it work.....however close it comes to the actual word itself!
Here are some of my goodies I've been working, uh, 'hobby-ing' on!
Something a customer asked for. Brand new and my own design....4th of JULY GARLAND.
It's got a flag, an apple pie, a decoupaged star, a bat and baseball, and Uncle Sam, and a Firecracker!
Always a favorite for the Fall season, I've started filling orders on these THANKSGIVING GARLANDS and got a few sent out. Some of the pieces came from designs by Myra Mahey; just not sure of the name of the book, though. I'm sure I'll be busy throughout October making them, too!
This little wooden gal is getting some fancy duds this weekend! She'll come equipped with a broom and her little wooden black kitty! She's a bit of a Proto type and if she turns out, I'll list her in the shop.

Pumpkins baked and primmed! A pattern from Kim at ORP or Old Road Primitives. I'm finishing up the kitty that goes in the Pumpkin Patch this next week and then I'll show you.
If you haven't signed up for my FACEBOOK 600 Fans Giveaway, then run don't walk! It ends Monday, Sept. 30th. Just click on my badge on my right side bar and find the photo of the hat to leave a comment. SHARE for an extra chance!
Our temps have cooled down a bit and dryer air is moving in. We actually may get close to 60 at night!! WOOO HOOO!!!! HA!

This & That

I received a few things in the mail this week......well, that's actually an UNDERstatement! I've kept my mail lady quite busy. We're getting to know each other pretty well.
A friend invited me to join a group on FB....an OVERSTOCK group and, well, let's just say "one man's trash is another man's treasure"!! I've been picking up LOTS of fabrics at GREAT prices.
This is just a small stash. I'm excited to work with the Americana as I've just purchase a new Raggedy Doll pattern from Sweet Meadows Farm. Our OFG Team will be having a celebration next month and I'm preparing a few goodies to include in it!
I received a GIVEAWAY win from the talented Brenda of RUSTY THIMBLE

I won one of her sweet little rabbits! SO cute and perfectly primmed! Thank you, AGAIN, Brenda!
I also purchased a new Doll! This one is from Kim over at ORP (Old Road Primitives)!
This is GINGER and she is so sweet!! I hugged her and kissed her and promised to be her friend forever! She's getting along with my other dolls and seems to be a happy girl!
I wanted to share with you what's been haunting me.
As you can tell by her expression, she is running out of patience with me.....sigh....if I had more time and less kids to take care of I wouldn't be having this problem. I got the original HEAD from a Make-Do pattern at My Primitive Saltbox. I've made up her body and have misplaced her legs and arms. I remember drawing them up and cutting them out. She has little 'witch boots' and she'll be adorable when I finish her....well, in a 'witchy' sort of way!
I've also drawn up some chicken patterns which I will share with you. Not anyone's pattern in particular but I do receive inspriation from viewing other people's art work. Don't you?!
Hoping your April is bringing in wishes for May flowers....especially those of you with snow still in the forecast. I saw on FB the other day where someone from the north had posted a picture of a snowman lying down and about a half dozen knives stabbed in him. the caption under the photo said something to the effect of  "Die Winter". Made me chuckle!
Don't forget about my Giveaway! Will end on Monday, April 29th! Look for Mildred at the top of my right side bar!
STAY TUNED!

My Pin Keep Swap!

I entered Wendy's, Ravenwood Whimzies, Pin Keep Swap again! I'm new to making these little jewels and I'm loving it! I got Cyndy of Crafty Stitchers as my partner and WHOOP, WHOOP got me some cuties from her!
You can go over to Crafty Stitchers and check out what I sent her.....but I'll also show you here!
I LOVED making this sweet little thing! I got the original mouse pattern from Kim at Old Road Primitives (ORP). I got some of my ideas from Carol over at Buttermilk Creek Farm. Carol makes WONDERFUL Meeces!
Here's my little Tillie!
Tillie the Cheesemaker! She doesn't waste time with mouse traps!
I placed the pin cushion in the basket but you could always stick more in Tillie.....OUCH!!!
I have a couple of these boxes just sitting around. This could be used for 'extra' storage!
Her tail is made from jute.
SO MUCH FUN! I've got one more on my table to finish. Not even sure how much something like this would sell for so I'll have to research my Prim friends on Etsy.
Speaking of Prim friends, the fabulous OFG Team, Old Farmhouse Gathering) is launching a new celebration on Monday! WONDERFUL new creations from our super talented Team! You might want to stop by and read our Funny Bunny Springtime story that some of us made up! It's to be continued until Easter!
I'll link up the picture on my right sidebar come Monday and show you some more goodies,  so.....
Stay Tuned!!!!

This is HUGE so DON'T waste your time in signing up. Brenda can explain this better than I can so go to her blog post HERE and do what she tells you to do. DON'T MISS OUT on the opportunity to get 38, YES, 38 wonderful homemade Ornies for your Christmas Tree!!!!
This GIVEAWAY is for ONE week only so scootle doodle now!
In other news, (I sound like a professional journalist, HA), WENDY MONTREUIL has won my Small Snowman Face from my FB Mystery Giveaway
CONGRATULATIONS, Wendy! Your guy will come with a blue snowflake scarf! I've made a handful of these to give as gifts this year. So much fun to make! The pattern is from Kim at OLD ROAD PRIMITIVES!
I'm baking angel wings and ornies today. I sold my 2 Thanksgiving Garlands over the weekend and it looks like I'll have to make more as I've got a returned customer wanting one!
We're getting over our colds. I've got one of the twins home today but she should be ready to go back tomorrow. My daughter (handicapped) we call her Twirly Girl or TG for short, is doing much better. The flu shot this year messed a few people up. I know some that had the same complaints as my TG without all of the seizures, of course.
There goes my buzzer on my oven! Need to turn the Prims over!
Hope you're having a great day!
As always,
Stay tuned!

New Creations and a Giveaway Winner!

I wanted to share my Leaf Garland with you as I forgot to the other day.
It's my own design and I think I might do a tutorial on it to show you how I get my color/combinations. It's a thought anyway :)

Only a small amount participated in this Giveaway but I sure am appreciative of every one I get whether large or small in numbers.
I've bought the CUTEST pattern from Kim at Old Road Primitives! I actually made a few of these in different sizes!
I've named him "MR. FROST" since he loves the snow so much! Yeh, like that bright, hot sun is keeping him in his healthy environment, right?!
Anyway, I made a medium sized one just for the end of our OFG TEAM's Winter Celebration and today is the day to announce my winner!
Random. org chose
AMY of BUMBLEBEE LANE to get my medium sized Mr. Frost!
CONGRATS, AMY!!
How about sending me your addy to VicWeave@aol.com so I can get your medium sized-guy in the mail to you tomorrow!!
Thanks so much for your continued support! Don't forget about Brenda's Giveaway.....1 more week to sign up for ALL of those lovely chances! (picture on my upper right sidebar)
