Just Another Ordinary Day!

Ahhhh, another beautiful day in Paradise although our Paradise is heating up pretty fast! 88 yesterday. That means the 90's are right around the corner!
I was able to go outside and get some wood cut out.
I was nearing the end of my work when my Sander blew. A big POP and then billowing clouds of smoke came out from underneath the motor along with the sound of mechanical death as the motor ground to a halt. My Porter Cable was supposed to be an investment; something that would last years down the road. I got 2 years out of it.
Well, I'll just set back for a few days and sew.
I'm working on Sunflowers and crows. Also stuffing dolls. I made 2 of them for RAVENWOOD WHIMZIES Doll Challenge. As I stuffed them, I realized one of my legs was a bit bigger than the other. How did I do that? Same pattern but one leg is fat and the other skinny. SIGH....looks like I'll be cutting out another one. Can't wait to clothe them and show you and Wendy. Let's see if my 'great' ideas come to fruition!!
Don't forget about MILDRED
I'm giving her away on Monday, April 29th. I've almost completed the 'other' Mildred and will show you her picture on Monday so the winner can make her choice. You can find the link to my MILDRED Giveaway AND my Facebook Mystery Giveaway on my upper right sidebar. DO look at all of the other great Giveaways while you've got a minute. Some great things by some fantastic Artisans.
Hoping your day is sunny and bright and you're not blowing anything up!
I'll have lots more going on this next week as our OFG Team is gearing up for a Summer Celebration.
As my Mama always says, "Hold your Horses" and STAY TUNED!

My Pin Keep Swap!

I entered Wendy's, Ravenwood Whimzies, Pin Keep Swap again! I'm new to making these little jewels and I'm loving it! I got Cyndy of Crafty Stitchers as my partner and WHOOP, WHOOP got me some cuties from her!
You can go over to Crafty Stitchers and check out what I sent her.....but I'll also show you here!
I LOVED making this sweet little thing! I got the original mouse pattern from Kim at Old Road Primitives (ORP). I got some of my ideas from Carol over at Buttermilk Creek Farm. Carol makes WONDERFUL Meeces!
Here's my little Tillie!
Tillie the Cheesemaker! She doesn't waste time with mouse traps!
I placed the pin cushion in the basket but you could always stick more in Tillie.....OUCH!!!
I have a couple of these boxes just sitting around. This could be used for 'extra' storage!
Her tail is made from jute.
SO MUCH FUN! I've got one more on my table to finish. Not even sure how much something like this would sell for so I'll have to research my Prim friends on Etsy.
Speaking of Prim friends, the fabulous OFG Team, Old Farmhouse Gathering) is launching a new celebration on Monday! WONDERFUL new creations from our super talented Team! You might want to stop by and read our Funny Bunny Springtime story that some of us made up! It's to be continued until Easter!
I'll link up the picture on my right sidebar come Monday and show you some more goodies,  so.....
Stay Tuned!!!!

We Made It!

Greetings one and all from Springfield! We arrived safely after a very long drive! We originally were going to stop at a hotel but the kids fell asleep and we didn't want to wake them only to try and get them back to sleep. We were doing good until 4:00 a.m. with only another 2 hours to drive. We HAD to pull over and rest for awhile. We'd stopped at a few rest areas and even a McD's for a snack, however this time, we needed sleep! We were able to gain about 30 solid minutes which gave my hubby enough energy to get us to his place (I continued to doze!).

Front view of Condo.
Back view!
My swap from Michelle at Simple Pleasures came in. I had her send it to Illinois since I wouldn't see it in Florida for a few weeks. Go to her blog and see what I sent her!

Wonderful 'spoilage' going on here! The twins loved helping me unwrap all of the goodies! Our son thought the Beeswax ornies were cookies! LOVE my Santa Doll! Thank you so much Michelle and thank you Wendy at Ravenwood Whimzies for hostessing this wonderful "Christmas in July" Swap!

I didn't get to finish this before I left on our travels. It will be full of blue bonnets from Texas and another red flower that I can't remember the name of. A friend of mine sent me this photo so I could practice honing my skills. That's a large fence post and it will have some barbed wire coming across the photo, too.
Hope your summer is going well. I'll be home in another week or two.
Going to go to Wally World and buy the kids a small wading pool. Unfortunately, the lake here is 'chocolate' and filled with bird poo. That equals to a large amount of bacteria in my book! EWWWWWWW!!!
As always, Stay Tuned!

WIP Wednesday!

Greetings Cyber Friends!
I could get used to this 'on vacation' thing!! I've been having a blast making things for me and designing some new patterns. I've been working on an order for a customer. She ordered everything from Easter to Thanksgiving....YAY for me, right?! It gets packed up and shipped out tomorrow. Another YAY for me since it's my last before vacay!!!
Here's a few pictures!
Everything needs to be 'finished' today. Ribbon embellishments and glue should do the trick!
This one is for my Swap partner over at Ravenwood  Whimzies Christmas in July Swap! I'm getting mine done early since I'm leaving soon for vacay. Can you guess what it is or even the pattern I'm using?
This one is mine! Have been waiting for awhile to get to this! LOVE the turquoise/aqua colors that are in right now!
And last, but certainly NOT least...
This is my Carolee! Inspired by none other than our own Firecracker Kid! In fact, Tim and Carol made me a couple of Whale Tail shelves that Carolee is leaning on. They're up now and when I get this large room cleaned I'll take a few pictures for you!! Now where did I put that number for those blasted cleaning fairies???
I have a few oil paintings I hope to share with you in the next day or two. This is the time of year where I work on them and complete what I start.....oh boy, let's not go there!!!! My project 'starts' are bordering on ridiculous!!
We're supposed to be heading out this next Monday. Hubby is flying in on Saturday with our eldest daughter. She has some furniture moving that she needs to do. Our little boy needs his bedroom and I'll be moving all of my Inventory SOMEWHERE!
Lots to do but isn't that what the Summer months are for (nodding head while shaking head!)?!
Oh, by the way, Debby lost her 'umph' by the time she got to us. I think we wound up with 6-7 inches of rain. Hate to say we still need more but, hey, we still need MORE!!!
Stay Tuned!!

Spoiled!

Truly rotten!!
I participated in Wendy's Bug Swap over at Ravenwood Whimzies. My partner was Dee Begg from Icehouse Crafts. She makes amazing signs and, OBVIOUSLY, other things!!!!
Let me show you what she sent me!
OVERLOAD!!!
Adorable nodder!
Cutest little bowl fillers!
A hand painted magnet!
YUMMO!!!
How cute is this sign?!!!!
Is it not just FANTASTIC?!!! LOVE IT ALL, DEE!!! I've already hung my sign and magnet and set my sunflower bowl fillers and nodder on my shelf. What do you call those dried berries? I can't remember but they have a lovely smell! The jam is being reserved for my English muffins! Oh my, my, my have I been spoiled rotten!!!!!
We've had a wonderful amount of rainfall from Tropical storm Beryl. We need many more like it to get us out of the deficit we're in. Still no water under the boathouse :( I'm grateful for every drop that falls! It's still sprinkling here this morning and I have a little boy left at home. We had a late 'after hours' doc appointment yesterday due to a spike in fever and uncontrolled asthma. We now have a Nebulizer, medication, and steroid so this little man can get better. His sister returned to school for the first time in over a week. I think we're getting 'there'!
Been working on Tawny's Sunflower pattern from The Primitive Nook

Have a couple more things to make for my Giveaway and should have it up by the first few days of June.(I'm shooting for the first!)
Hope you are all healthy and making fun plans for Summer. It's just around the corner!
Stay Tuned!
