Trying again!

Well, I never heard from the winner that was chosen for my 'Spring Giveaway'......

Our OFG Team is at it again! Lots of wonderful Hand Mades in their Etsy shops for our newest celebration, "Anything Goes"! Just click on the link above to see some wonderful creations.

Sadly, I  am not among them. My creations are still half-finished. Just couldn't seem to get my act together. Here are a couple of dolls I'm working on. WARNING: this is a bit X-rated as they're still a bit nekked!

These gals haven't even made it out of the pan!

Looks a bit like the Walking Dead. Did you watch the Finale last night? AWESOME!

I won a Supply Giveaway from Brenda of the Rusty Thimble.

It was filled to the top with all kinds of goodies!

 Lovely laces!

 Colored Mohair? Heck yeah, that's right up my alley!

I just washed the 2 pieces of fabric so I can use it on one of my black folk art dolls.

Of course the wood is already 'talking' to me!

Last but not least, here's a picture of our 9 year old daughter at her Piano recital.

 

Look at those long, strong fingers! She is doing GREAT! We are so lucky to have such an awesome Teacher that lives a Hop, Skip, and a Jump away from us!

The kids are on Spring Break this week so I'm taking a break, too. Gorgeous weather here in North Central Florida! I think we'll try for a quick trip to the beach!

This & That

I received a few things in the mail this week......well, that's actually an UNDERstatement! I've kept my mail lady quite busy. We're getting to know each other pretty well.

A friend invited me to join a group on FB....an OVERSTOCK group and, well, let's just say "one man's trash is another man's treasure"!! I've been picking up LOTS of fabrics at GREAT prices.

This is just a small stash. I'm excited to work with the Americana as I've just purchase a new Raggedy Doll pattern from Sweet Meadows Farm. Our OFG Team will be having a celebration next month and I'm preparing a few goodies to include in it!

I received a GIVEAWAY win from the talented Brenda of RUSTY THIMBLE! 

I won one of her sweet little rabbits! SO cute and perfectly primmed! Thank you, AGAIN, Brenda!

I also purchased a new Doll! This one is from Kim over at ORP (Old Road Primitives)!

This is GINGER and she is so sweet!! I hugged her and kissed her and promised to be her friend forever! She's getting along with my other dolls and seems to be a happy girl!

I wanted to share with you what's been haunting me. 

 As you can tell by her expression, she is running out of patience with me.....sigh....if I had more time and less kids to take care of I wouldn't be having this problem. I got the original HEAD from a Make-Do pattern at My Primitive Saltbox. I've made up her body and have misplaced her legs and arms. I remember drawing them up and cutting them out. She has little 'witch boots' and she'll be adorable when I finish her....well, in a 'witchy' sort of way! 

I've also drawn up some chicken patterns which I will share with you. Not anyone's pattern in particular but I do receive inspriation from viewing other people's art work. Don't you?!

Hoping your April is bringing in wishes for May flowers....especially those of you with snow still in the forecast. I saw on FB the other day where someone from the north had posted a picture of a snowman lying down and about a half dozen knives stabbed in him. the caption under the photo said something to the effect of  "Die Winter". Made me chuckle!

Finishing up Before Turkey Day!

I am gluing on hats, striping candy canes, cutting legs for reindeer, tying shoe laces, and assembling elves. I can't show you these pictures as they'll be part of the OFG Team's Celebration coming next Monday....CYBER Monday, to be exact!

We're finally over the colds with only a few sniffles lingering. Boy does it take a while to get rid of those! Looking forward to a wonderful Thanksgiving with family here at my house on Thursday. Should have about 30 to celebrate with!

In The Works

I can't show you it all put together yet. The OFG Team, Old Farmhouse Gathering, is getting ready to launch a new CELEBRATION on Monday, the 26th! I'm so excited to show you some new items! Until then, you'll just have to have a 'lOOk see'!

I'm baking angel wings and ornies today. I sold my 2 Thanksgiving Garlands over the weekend and it looks like I'll have to make more as I've got a returned customer wanting one!

We're getting over our colds. I've got one of the twins home today but she should be ready to go back tomorrow. My daughter (handicapped) we call her Twirly Girl or TG for short, is doing much better. The flu shot this year messed a few people up. I know some that had the same complaints as my TG without all of the seizures, of course.

There goes my buzzer on my oven! Need to turn the Prims over!
