 Been selling these lately as it IS that time of year to show appreciation for those wonderful teachers. My son has a male teacher this year and I'm going to make him a pencil holder minus the bow. 

I've also got those sunflowers to finish up and working on some Americana as our OFG Team is gearing up for a SUMMER CELEBRATION!!

And So It Goes.......

Good morning by blogging friends!

WOW, what a day yesterday, huh?! I guess we're fortunate that bombings aren't an everyday occurrence here. So sad that some people have so much anger in them that they could 'cause something so horrific to happen to innocent people. I still feel the 'good out weighs the bad'. If you don't have Faith, what else is there?

I'm not one to dwell on too much negativity. What is done is done. We'll clean up, move on, and be a better People because of it. God Bless America!

Once again my work table is full! Teacher Appreciation is coming up soon and I thought I'd better get my apples painted and ready.

I picked these up from our Overstock group and have plenty for future projects such as blocks and small signs.

I'm also working on a big project....Huge is more like it....As in HUGO the Huge!

I bought this pattern from Pam Gracia over at SOFT IN THE HEAD. I'm going to name mine Buddy and give him to a very special lady in my life....my sweet Mother-in-law. It was her birthday last week and I didn't have time to finish him. She'd given me 2 wool blazers that were hers to tear apart and use. So, I'm using the plaid blazer to make his shirt and some blue fabric for his pants. Because the Blazer is green/blue with stripes of red and gold, I'll have to choose what accent color I want his scarf to be. I'm thinking gold. What do you think? His body can actually fit into a small adult sweater which is what Pam recommends in her pattern. I just thought it would be kind of cool to include my MIL's blazer that I used to see her wear. I'm pretty sure she'll like him......I'll show you when he's dressed and ready. Painting and staining him today!

I completed an order for a returning customer yesterday. ALWAYS love making these guys! I've got a Birthday Garland in the works that one of my returned customers is helping me design. She wanted to know if I had one. I told her I'd drawn out one already and what would she like to see besides cupcakes and hearts? Well, presents of course and balloons, too, so it's outside and 'to the saws' I go today to see what I can make!

UH OH!

I think she's getting angrier by the minute!!

New Items!

Good grief but March is roaring in like a LION! Sure hope that means that 'April Shower will bring May Flowers'. Wishing some of these cold fronts could at least bring some rain. This wind is CrAzY!!!

I've just been keeping up with orders so this is the first 'new' that I've made in a week.

Almost finished with a doll and another Bunny Make Do. Also have written up the instructions for making Rosa Belle and will share that on Friday. I get to have some time to myself tomorrow......well, I'll probably be getting new tires on the van but at least it's close to Home Depot and Sam's Club and I get to leave the house!

Teacher Appreciation Gifts

I've been trying to get this house back into some kind of order but so far it's not working. I'm going from room to room only to find myself lost in a pile of 'what not'! Gosh, I get side-tracked so easily now-a-days. Is it just me or do you, too?

 Here are some of the items I finished  for Teacher Appreciation gifts.

These pictures don't do them justice. They're bright and cheery and would look great on a Teacher's desk or hanging in the room.

 I've gotten my oils back out and am finding some 'therapy' time in this lovely weather.

I hope to share a few pictures with you soon. My Respite worker is coming tomorrow so I can get some groceries. My paint brushes will have to sit still for a day.

WIPs!

It is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS this morning!! We had RAIN over the weekend and my grass just lapped it up like a thirsty dog!  It's presently 61 degrees here and the wind is blowing like crazy giving us white caps on the water. I LOVE it when it's like this 'cause it makes me think of the ocean!

I've stayed true to my promise of taking things easy! I'm proud of myself if one can be so! I'm in the process of making 'Teacher Appreciation' gifts. If you have an Etsy shop and don't have anything for a teacher, you may want to think about adding a little something 'apple related'. I've got 2 orders I'm getting ready this morning for TA and my shop Stats are showing hits on the few items I've got posted. I used to have alot more but I let them run out. I had some time on Saturday to cut more of these items out and now I'm painting up just a few items to restock and also to give to my kid's teachers.

These will have bright green and red polka dot bows where the stem ends. I'm including a tag for one of my orders with the teacher's name on them. 

CUTE!

These are various apple shapes cut out for name blocks, apple garlands, and desk top decor. You know, just ONE more thing to have to dust!!

Yep, that's some melon slices, too!

I did get my Bird House Garland finished and listed on Etsy. You can check out my shop HERE if you'd like to stop by and favorite it. I had a few good hours in this one and I LOVE how it turned out!

Only one Mother's Day gift to add. 

This Mama will have a calico apron added to her front for her little calves to hang out in. She'll be doweled and glued onto that wooden heart which will have 'COWNT your Blessings' painted on it. 

Speaking of Mother's Day, don't forget my current Giveaway, HERE. I've decided to move up the date so the winner can receive the gift before/by Mother's Day. My drawing will now be on Wednesday, MAY 9th so make note of that.
