Truly rotten!!
I participated in Wendy's Bug Swap over at Ravenwood Whimzies. My partner was Dee Begg from Icehouse Crafts. She makes amazing signs and, OBVIOUSLY, other things!!!!
Let me show you what she sent me!
Adorable nodder!
Cutest little bowl fillers!
A hand painted magnet!
How cute is this sign?!!!!
Is it not just FANTASTIC?!!! LOVE IT ALL, DEE!!! I've already hung my sign and magnet and set my sunflower bowl fillers and nodder on my shelf. What do you call those dried berries? I can't remember but they have a lovely smell! The jam is being reserved for my English muffins! Oh my, my, my have I been spoiled rotten!!!!!
We've had a wonderful amount of rainfall from Tropical storm Beryl. We need many more like it to get us out of the deficit we're in. Still no water under the boathouse :( I'm grateful for every drop that falls! It's still sprinkling here this morning and I have a little boy left at home. We had a late 'after hours' doc appointment yesterday due to a spike in fever and uncontrolled asthma. We now have a Nebulizer, medication, and steroid so this little man can get better. His sister returned to school for the first time in over a week. I think we're getting 'there'!
Been working on Tawny's Sunflower pattern from The Primitive Nook

Have a couple more things to make for my Giveaway and should have it up by the first few days of June.(I'm shooting for the first!)
Hope you are all healthy and making fun plans for Summer. It's just around the corner!

Just A Reminder........

Last Day for the OFG Celebration. Click HERE if you want to see some wonderful summer goodies and take advantage of any sales that the artists may have.
Tropical Storm Beryl has been keeping us 'sprinkled and damp' today. Not much going on at our house as the kids and I continue to heal from this nasty sickness. I'm planning on sending them to school tomorrow and hoping to find my 'mojo' once again. My house is suffering terribly!
Deb Paxton from Paxton Valley Folk Art made a super cute Treasury for our OFG Team.

A college professor and friend of mine, Judy Haisten, has written a book about her childhood and growing up in Panama. I purchased my copy from and am looking forward to reading it this week.
I have a Giveaway I'll post on June 1st

SERIOUSLY, one of the worst weeks of my life!
It started last Tuesday, the 15th for me. Our 6 year old twin daughter had been coughing for a few days previous. She complained of a headache but never had any other symptoms with it so I gave her some Motrin and went on with life. I started feeling bad Tuesday evening. Still able to take care of everything but just really dragging with a headache. By Wednesday my head was hurting pretty good with body aches and I had a temp of 100 +. It went down from there :(  A friend came in on Friday to get my groceries for me and her family brought in a pot of chicken soup. By Saturday my temp was at 103.3 and Anna Belle (our twin daughter) was 102. By late Saturday afternoon, I was back down to 101. I went to Urgent Care on Monday. I was dehydrated so they hooked me up to IV fluids and gave me a shot of antibiotic through my IV. I have an Upper Respiratory Infection and a Kidney Infection. I'm getting better but WHOA, was I sick!! And still taking care of the 3 kids in the house. Don't know know you've done it, too. We are, after all, SuperMoms!!
I wanted to share a few pieces that I got done for the "BUG SWAP" that Wendy at Ravenwood Whimzies had.
I sent a box of goodies out just yesterday as my sickness made me a few days late. I hope my Partner enjoys it.

I've been 'shopping' the internet for patterns. Pattern Mart has large variety from various artists and I was able to discover Mulberry Memories and her watermelon Patterns. I purchased a few of Old Annie Primitives Uncle Sam Hat Tucks and Uncle Sam Heads from her shop. I don't know if I'll get too many done this year but there's always next year! I bought Tawny's cute SUNFLOWERS pattern over at The Primitive Nook and hope to get a few of these done soon. In anticipation of the season's to come, I purchased 2 of Bittersweerfolkart's patterns. CANNOT wait to get into these two! I've already made a few Witches Boots and Crows. With the month of June approaching fast we'll be looking at the 'Holiday Season' before you know it and we 'crafters' have to stay on our toes!
Hoping you are all well and stay clear of this 'flu-like' disease.
I'll have one more give away for the month of June and then take a break through July,
as always,

My Mother's Day Weekend!

Good Monday morning Friends!
I'm up and 'at 'em' this morning! I've cleaned carpets and have 3 loads of laundry already finished and half folded! A 'Tornado' blew through my house over the weekend and I've given up on those ever-so-elusive cleaning Fairies!
I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day weekend. Here's mine in a nutshell!
We, the twins and I, spent the morning organizing toys and getting rid of unwanted items.
I was able to go out on Friday and pick up some Closet Maid Storage tools from Target.
I picked up 2 of these in the Oak color and the little canvas bins that go with them. I let the kids pick out there colors which were no surprise: pink for Anna Belle and green for Tate.Organizing and cleaning took up most of our day and I spent the remaining afternoon hours letting them swim and then catching the last 2 episodes of "Lost" on NetFlix. WOW. How appropriately named was that TV show? I did receive a SWEET surprise from our eldest: TJ.
He sent me this!
I was so excited to receive it that I forgot to take a photo of my own. This is from the 'Edible Arrangements' website. We're lucky enough to have one near us! The other '2' phoned me with 'I Love You's' on Sunday. I also received a call from my beloved early Sunday morning.......sigh.......just made me miss him more.
I received a sweet Giveaway win from Cyndy over at Crafty Stitchers that I wanted to share with you.
I sat her beside my 'Candy Cane Annie' from Sandy at The Olde Country Cupboard.
She seems to be content and happy! Thank you AGAIN, Cyndy!!
Our wonderful Gals over at the OFG Team have put together another celebration for us!
We'll be launching it this week so look for another announcement from me and our great Artisan team members!!!
As always......

Mother's Day Giveaway WINNER!

Good morning Blogging Friends!!
What a beautiful day to wake up to but then again I think most days are! Every-once-in-a-while I'll get up on the 'wrong' side of the bed and wish it wasn't morning. I'm sure we've all had those kinds of days. It's already 70 degrees here at 8:00 a.m. with a promise to reach 91 degrees. I'm already 'hot' thanks to age- related drama so the high temps aren't necessary, however, obviously beyond my control. So, I sit with AC and fans running........on HIGH!!
I finished up my Watermelon Slices yesterday...........
.............and my last Teacher's Apple..........
Both can be found in my Etsy shop (look on my right sidebar).
I've got a WINNER for my Mother's Day Giveaway!
to CAROL, The Firecracker Kid!!
THANK YOU one and all for entering my Giveaway! I sure do appreciate your kind comments and support!
I need to go and find some more Giveaways to enter. I just won an Angel Doll from Cyndy of Crafty Stitchers the other day from her FB page and I can't wait until it arrives! Of course I'll share a photo or two with you!!
My sewing machine is out today and I'm finishing up some of my own dolls. Can't wait to show you these primsy little girls of mine!!
Hoping your day is filled with glorious sunshine and rainbows!
As always, STAY TUNED!!

Predictions, a Win, and WIPs!

Good Monday morning greetings, dear blogging friends!
We're supposed to get some rain today in what has become the 'desert lands' of Florida! Crossing my fingers that it will 'play out' as our Weather Forecasters have predicted.
I received my WIN from Ann of 1803 Ohio Farm Baskets!
OMGosh, what a WONDERFUL little Tote Basket it is!! Her work is phenomenal and I do believe I'll have to go back and purchase a few for Christmas gifts and one in particular for myself! If you have a minute, go and visit Ann's Etsy shop! Fabulous finds!!
I'm still not doing a whole least not for my Etsy shop. Finishing up the last of Teacher Appreciation and cutting out some 'extras' for the 'World Fair' that's coming up in a few weeks. Each class picks a country to learn about and I have a few teachers who like wood cut-outs for their kids to paint.
I finished a few more pink cupcakes since the others were gone.
AND, last but not least, I've been trying to finish up a small oil painting.
I still have to add flowers to the foreground and some shading on the girl's face. I can then call it finished. I chose a frame for it.

What do you think? It would look good framed in gold, too, but this one was more 'aged' and I seem to like it better. Do you?
I'm also working on some Americana and Summer items for the OFG Team's upcoming Celebration. I'll tell you more about it in a few.
Until then........
Stay tuned!!

Destash Winner

May Clip Art
May Clip Art
I drew out a name for my Destash and it was Shannon from Sew Sweet Annies. If anyone wants to 'swap' with my Etsy destash, let me know. It's all listed so you can take a look-see and I'd be glad to trade you for a scrap of material or some painting supplies. Just email me a and we'll get a 'swap' on!
I've been cleaning up around here trying to get rid of things that are just taking up space. Unfortunately that's a harder task than first thought!
Our wonderful OFG Team will be having a Celebration soon and I'm getting some Summer items ready for it. Hoping to have those dolls finished to show you and include in it, too. I am in AWE of those of you who can crank out multiple dolls in one day! I am VERY slow. Of course I still have 3 kids at home so that doesn't help my sewing at all!!
Well, I'm off to look for those cleaning 'fairies'. They've yet to show up every time I've asked but hey, a girl can dream can't she!?
Stay tuned!
