A Spring/Easter Giveaway!! (CLOSED)

It's that time again!
We're already heading into Summer temps. Highs in the upper 80's this week and we've still a few more weeks until the actual Easter celebrations begin. I remember last year a friend of mine posting on her blog pictures of her Easter egg hunt...in the snow...and the funniest thing about it was the colors of the egg dye that had been left behind in the fluffy, white stuff! I CANNOT even begin to fathom that kind of weather at this time of year!!
So, for those of you still in the throws of 'old man winter', I hope this puts a little 'spring' in your step!!

Easter blocks...cut from 1.5 pine lumber and approx. 9" long.
Chocolate or Vanilla?
Awwwwe,  a little lamb! (small basket)
Solid Easter Block with button embellishments!
Pinkie!
Another smaller basket...this one's got a bunny on it!
Simply stated...a solid Easter block.

I made something similar with the kids for their teachers and they love their 'bunny stacks'!
I've got a few sets of these. They've showed up in a few Etsy Treasuries!

Checkers...my newest addition to my bunny menagerie!
This basket is lined inside!
If you've been here before then you know how this works. If not, here's what you do!
1. Be a follower or become one.
2. Leave me a comment on which item you'd like.
3. Tell it to the world on FB or your blog and let me know you've done it.
4. What's your favorite treat that you like the Easter bunny to leave in your basket?

(If you're registered as anonymous, please leave me an email so I can get in touch with you if you win)
Keep it all in one comment if you can, purty please!
Sorry, because of shipping prices this one's for the US only.
I'll announce 2 winners on Saturday morning...that's April 2nd on my calendar!!

Thanks so much for coming by!!

On My Table....

...you will find all things Easter-ry.

We'll be announcing a Spring Celebration coming up soon with our PAFA (Primitive and Folk Artists) team on Etsy. It's just around the corner!
And after that will come the Sweet Summertime Celebration from OFG (Old Farmhouse Gathering) team with a most scrumptious GIVEAWAY that you won't want to miss!

I've had to avoid my saws and sanders. I've been running back and forth to the doctor's with a nasty tummy ache. I think they've found the reason behind it and I'm being treated with some antibiotics.

I'm hoping to wrap up a few ends this weekend to offer you a quick but cute Giveaway this next week. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that I finish my small 'to do' list.
Blessings to one and all!

Giveaway Winner...Mr. Big Has Been Adopted!

Good morning everyone!
You know, I didn't put this Giveaway together without first doing my homework. Yep, I checked out all the 'ins and outs' on the shipping front to see what my best options were. UPS seems to be your best bet when it comes to getting the 'big stuff' out there. The biggest problem is finding the box. We are fortunate enough to have a UPS store close enough that I can buy boxes from them but they can get expensive and run your shipping up even more. Depending on where this guy goes, it will cost between $15 and $20 to get it there.
So who gets him?
Well now, let's see......
hmmmmmm....tallying up my numbers...quite a few comments...looks like a total of 77 from 27 different people (thank you ALL, by the way, for stopping by!).
I use Random.org to choose my winners for me and it has chosen...

#60 DEBBIE GEIGER

CONGRATULATIONS, DEBBIE!!

Debbie, contact me at VicWeave@aol.com and get me your address so I can get Mr. Big out to you.

Thank you SOOOOOO much to all of my followers and everyone who is new to my blog. I will work on getting over to your blogs to follow you, too!
I just joined a wonderful etsy team known as The Old Farmhouse Gathering or OFG on etsy. They're having a great spring sale right now on some of the most creative items and beautiful items! Just got to http://www.etsy.com/  and type in SECOFG into the search box (make sure you check 'All Items' in the drop box) and it will direct you to a wonderful selection!
Thanks again everyone for making this a great Giveaway! I've enjoyed reading all of your comments and NO, you cannot have my twin! I worked TOO hard to get him here safely...I'll have to share that story at a later date!!
Come back and see me!
Blessings,
Vcky :0)

A Surprise for Me and a Continuing GIVEAWAY!!

I am married to a sweetheart of a man! We will celebrate our 30th anniversary next month. During all of our married life together, and I have to say even while we dated, he has never stopped bringing me 'gifts'. Sometimes it's flowers, sometimes a new appliance for the kitchen but it's always without my asking for it. He's just a very thoughtful person and I'm a VERY lucky gal.
He came in the other day with this for me.

And no, it wasn't for him to use, either! He said he'd been watching it at Sam's from the after Christmas clearance and it finally reached the price that my little penny pincher would purchase it!  Actually, a pretty nifty gift as it comes with spades, hole saws, and drum sanders not to mention a nice set of counter sinks.

In other news, my snow queen from Brenda over at The Rusty Thimble, had visitors.

Mr. Sunflowers, a Prim Rooster, and a Prairie Doll!
She did her best to make them feel at home. I think they're going to like it here!

Don't forget to sign up for my '100th Follower Giveaway'. I'm giving away "Mr. Big"...

I'll announce the winner on Saturday morning. All new followers are welcome to enter!
(Make sure you comment in the post below this one!)

Thanks for stopping by!

100th Follower GIVEAWAY...and the Hunt for Mr. Big! (CLOSED)

I took my son into town to get a haircut this morning. I thought I saw something in the bushes as I passed by but didn't have the time to stop and look. I wondered if it was Mr. Big.
Is that some ears?
We got back home and, as I turned to go inside, I caught a glimpse of some ears peeking out from the azaleas. I ran inside to get my camera pretty sure that it was the elusive Mr. Big!

Looks like feet to me! I think we're on the right track!
The kids came out with me to help me find him. Since they'd spotted some ears and feet, too, I knew it wasn't just my imagination.
DEFINITELY something in those bushes!
Well, THERE you are, Mr. Big!! Nice of you to come out and introduce yourself!

Mr. Big with one of the twins. The other one was having problems with the 'bees'!

This bunny design comes from the talented Susan Jill Hall and her book, 'The Bunny Brigade'.
Always a favorite around Easter time!
He is 3 feet tall and is simply painted with acrylic paints. He has been doweled and stapled onto his base for sturdy support. The base measures approx. 9 1/4" x 14". He is holding a trio of carrots with homespun tied between each one. He has a polka dotted ribbon bow at his neck and a bumblebee has found a nice place to sit upon his ear. Oh, and I forgot to show you his little tail when he turns around!

Would you like to have this guy?
He's yours if you sign up and your lucky number is chosen!

1. Be a follower or become one.
2. Leave me a comment on this post.
3. Blog about this Giveaway on your blog or FB. You know, spread the word!
4. Here's one last chance. If you have experience in the shipping world with large items, leave me some 'tid bits' of useful info and I'll count you 4 times, total.
Let me know all of this in one comment if you can, please.
That's it!
I'll leave this Giveaway up until next Saturday, March 12 and will tell you that morning who the lucky winner is!
(Only for those in the U.S. Not that I'm biased or anything but the shipping would be ASTRONOMICAL!)
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Blessings,
Vicky :0)
